Department of Microbiology

The Department of Microbiology was established as a part of the Department of Pathology  in 1938. In 1964, the Department of Pathology was divided into two departments: Department of Pathology; Department of Microbiology and Parasitology. In 1986 the Department of Microbiology and Parasitology was divided into two separate departments.

Recent status:

At the present the department consists of four units:

  • Bacteriology unit.
  • Virology unit.
  • Mycology unit.
  • Immunology unit.
